“ I had the lamb and jollof rice. Huge portion and amazing service. It was the perfect amount of spice and smokiness and honestly I over-ate. This is a hidden gem I’m glad I’ve found. Also they pulled out chairs for me so I could sit outside and eat with my dog, great first experience ”
“ I am honestly a little bit floored by this place. The quality of the dishes, the environment, the service, and most of all the flavors are all top notch. You simply must try it. I had the Benachin with Paneer and the Pankeet, both of which were excellent. I got the impression from other diners that every dish is on par. ”
“ Hands down one of the best dining experiences ever. Absolutely loved everything, and there was a lot! All the food here is halal. The ginger and hibiscus juices are best enjoyed when alternating sips..so even if you are on your own, order both! I have forgotten the names of most of the things we ordered, but maybe you can figure it out from the pictures. The lamb was amazing, and i don't even like lamb! The special jollof rice was on point, and the chicken stuff was pretty decent. The carrot (i think) and blueberry cakes were also to die for! Service was also amazing, albeit a little slow.. but that perception might be driven by the fact that we had to rush to some place immediately after... Don't forget to check out the phone booth outside. The birds be calling... Overall a very pleasant and memorable experience - Totally coming back for more! Quick edit: turns out i got distracted by the food when it arrived and ended up totally forgetting about taking pictures... so just ask what's good from the server - they might say everything though..and they might be totally right. ”
“ Everything about this restaurant is stunning, from the authentic brick walls, to the wall art, the drum chairs, and even the light fixtures. It’s a small restaurant but you can tell every detail was thought through. For appetizers we had the plantain and the Akara fritters. For our main course I got the lamb afra and it was sooooo delicious! huge portion too. My sibling got Ebbeh and we also got a couple other things I can’t remember the name of. For deserts we got their chocolate raspberry cake, pineapple upside down, and the toasted almond bread pudding Everything we had was scrumptious!!! We ended up just using our appetizer plates to share our meals with each other. Service was also great, thank you for making my birthday special!! ”
“ Look- the food was so incredibly delectable, I forgot to take a picture. The atmosphere is modern, yet authentic (insofar as a poorly traveled schmuck like myself can tell!). Get the lamb afra and the benachin. Come hungry- the portions are generous, maybe even decadent. Definitely ask for the ginger juice- it tastes like it was made only minutes before. Absolutely coming back. ”
“ We absolutely loved this restaurant. The homemade juices were amazing; full of flavor. The food was delicious; it was worth savoring every bite. The service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. ”
“ We had a very good time the food was really really good. The customer service was excellent. The atmosphere was calm and beautiful ”
“ Great african food. I loved the african artwork and the music of africa playing through the speaker's. Parking is a little tight but you can find spaces. ”
